Gun Flatline
Scenario- You own A Tippmann A-5 paintball gun, wut barrel do u put on it, flatline or 16in aluminum freak?
Both are about in the same price range, but you're looking for something accurate as well as distance. if neither, is there a straight rifled barrel out there for the A-5 that would be better?
A flatline is a great barrel for the A5.
I wouldn't pay that much for a freak though, I don't think they're worth it.
The best barrel you can get for your money is a LAPCO Bigshot. Those are the best barrels around for $50 and I would recommend them to anyone who owns a Tippmann. Or you could just go with a J&J Ceramic, which run about $30.
And it depends what kind of ball you play. If you play mostly in the woods, Flatline for sure. If you play at fields and arenas, LAPCO for sure. If you play a mix, LAPCO.
Overall, I would suggest the Bigshot before the Flatline. You'll be much happier with it.
And anything over 14 inches is too long. It decreases accuracy and requires more air to get the ball through.
