Is illegal to have a clear-hard-plastic cover in rear license plate?
Is it illegal to have a clear-hard-plastic cover on the rear license plate? It's not one of those camera-blocker thing, and it is not like the cover is covering anything.
Because the other day, my boyfriend got pulled over, and the cop's reason was because he has a "cover on his rear license plate" and "that is illegal". Though all this time, he's been getting followed by cops a lot, and sure that a lot of cops has seen it, but he never got pulled over until the other day. So is that a problem? It's just a clear cover that is not blocking or covering anything at all. If it is "illegal" like the cop said, then how come other cops never pulled him over before?
We're in CAlifornia btw.
he shound go down to the police station and talk to the man in charge some times cops are just being buttheads and look for any excuse to pull some one over. to me it doesnt seem like a clear cover would be illegal so deffently he should go talk to some one to find out for sure
