Open Reflex
Why do we laugh after we get scared (and no real danger afterward)?
I am looking for a psychological explanation.
Hypothetical scenario (if u don't quite understand my question):
You are watching a youtube video titled "snake eats a boy." The boy sits on the big python and plays with it. Suddenly, it looks like the snake quickly opens its mouth and swallow the boy, but then you realize the video has been a prank and the snake is fake. And so you laugh it off almost like a reflex.
Why do we laugh after we get scared/stressed?
well i think because of the reaction that we give when we get scared...
its a funny face we make when someone else sees it...
like when i go to the movies with friends to see a horror movie...
they get scared when the movie is so predictable...
(so i already know something suspenseful is going to come up)
and i just look at them and see their face....
i laugh and so do they....i guess its just the fact that the person who got scared thinks to themselves and says...
"i cant believe i got scared by that..."
but yea...its funny though
